From Moose to Mouse began during the pandemic of 2020. My family had just moved to Alaska and had to cancel our much anticipated trip to Disneyland. For the next two years, as I rescheduled and replanned our trip, people asked so many questions about vacationing at Disney parks. So, I thought, why not create a blog that is focused on helping people from Alaska plan their Disney park visit.
I have traveled to the Disney parks at least once a year with my kids since they were babies. Sometimes as a family, sometimes just me and the children, sometimes with my enormous extended family – but always having a blast and loving the magic.
I was born and raised in Alaska (by way of Los Angeles, California and San Antonio, Texas). I live here again with my husband, two cats, my daughter, and my son.
Cris also works as a digital media specialist in the Alaska tourism industry, was an instructor for the third largest Adult Education program in North America, and (one memorable summer) danced the can-can for tourists while singing “Yes, We Have No Bananas” in a saggy costume because she wore the wrong bra to her fitting.
She is a big fan of 80’s one-hit wonders, french fries, and needs the Internet like a WASP needs booze.
